It’s Wimbledon season, which means the NikeCourt references are coming soon to a couple of retro tennis silhouettes to reference the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Today we get a first look at a simplistic Nike Tennis Classic “Wimbledon”, as the signature white, green, and purple colorway creates a memorable if not subdued take on the iconic tennis shoe. Featuring a smooth white leather base, the Tennis Classic dons perforated Swoosh branding. The subtle take allows for the green lining referencing Wimbledon’s grass courts to draw most of the attention, along with striping of green and purple on the heel and insole.
