Air Jordans With “Nike Air” That Need To Return

Air Jordans With “Nike Air” That Need To Return

Good news, folks. Within the next year, Jordan Brand is bringing back, for the first time in history, the Air Jordan VI “Maroon”, and they’re doing so in proper manner. The elusive Nike Air branding will be featured on this must-have Retro release, and given the massive string of Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs with the original logos, the return of the White/Cement IVs, and of course the Retro 88s from two years ago, it seems that the brand we’ve all come to throw money at is finally giving the consumers what they want. There’s a lot of ground to cover in terms of Air Jordans with Nike Air, so here’s a quick recap of these vintage gems that would be lovingly embraced if they ever came back. Read on below for a recap.

Air Jordan Iv Military Blue Nike Air 1989

Air Jordan IV “Military”

Yes, the popular “Military Blue” re-released twice already, but neither had the proper Nike Air logo on the heel. Drop these with some Remastered materials and these won’t sit on shelves like the previous two outings.

Air Jordan V Fire Red Nike Air 1990

Air Jordan V “Fire Red”

In 1999, Jordan Brand brought back Retro releases in proper form. Still a few OG colorways, like the non-reflective “Fire Red”, have yet to be graced with Nike Air.

Air Jordan Vi White Infrared Nike Air 1991

Air Jordan VI “Infrared”

Jordan Brand came through in 2000 and will do so again in 2015. Honestly, the White/Infrared pair made more sense than the Maroons, but at least we know the window is open.

Air Jordan 1 Og Metallic Nike Air 1985

Every Air Jordan 1 “Metallic”

Nike Air on retro 1s is now the norm. That said, bring back the rare “metallic” joints. All of them. This photo by sunshining7 is just ridiculous.

Air Jordan Iii True Blue Nike Air 1988

Air Jordan III “True Blue”

Nothing “true” about the True Blue 3s if there’s no Nike Air on ’em. Bring ’em back like they were in ’88.

Air Jordan 6 Carmine Nike Air 1991

Air Jordan VI “Carmine”

Like the White/Infrared pair, the Carmines deserve the proper logo selection. But with this daring colorway hitting stores last year, don’t expect “Nike Air” on Carmines anytime soon.

Air Jordan V Grape Nike Air 1990

Air Jordan V “Grape”

The Grapes were in full force in 2013, but Nike Air was nowhere to be seen. All good though – the “Black Grapes” fulfilled the void.

Air Jordan Iv Fire Red 1989 Nike Air

Air Jordan IV “Fire Red”

It doesn’t need to be said – Nike Air on the Air Jordan IV was and will be one of the best things to happen in the 21st century.
