With a deep stable of running shoes that have become casual classics, ASICS could just continue releasing retro favorites like the GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Kayano Trainer in the same fashion they’ve been doing for years. Instead, they chose to expand upon the designs of said models and evolve the popular silhouettes for the modern age. That’s where the EVO collection comes in.
Earlier this month, we took a look at GEL-Lyte EVO NT and GEL-Kayano Trainer EVO, evolutions of the classic GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Kayano Trainer, respectively. Our in-depth looks revealed a strong sense of heritage combined with streamlined modern materials and technology. The result is the best from ASICS past and present.
