The Nike Air Huarache Utility Is Poised To Take Back A Lot Of Territory

2015 has seen the trend of sneakers adopting a certain tech runner mold. You’ve seen it with the adidas Ultra Boost, a number of expensive yet refined adidas Y-3 models, and now with the latest Nike Huarache offering in the Nike Air Huarache Utility. Taking the mold from Tinker Hatfield’s 1991 classic that’s gone from resurgence to straight over-saturation, Nike revamped the silhouette at the perfect time: right when the retro model was becoming a bit too overpopulated on store shelves. The Huarache Utility takes the OG heel cage and neoprene mesh slip-on aesthetic to task but adds certain tech elements like Dynamic Flywire, 3M perforations, and even an iridescent mudguard to task here, thus upping the model’s modern day credibility while still keeping the retro flare intact. What results is a lifestyle model that has flawlessly adapted to 2015 and will assuredly stand out thanks to Nike’s ability to use sublimated flashiness like 3M iridescence. No word yet on a release date, but you can expect this model to be a featured player in the Swoosh’s autumn release slate.
