People forget how athletic baseball players can be, but Mike Trout is that once-in-a-generation talent that quickly reminds those skeptical of the talent pool that remains in America’s pastime. With the MLB post-season on the horizon, Nike thought it apt to introduce the Nike Lunar Trout 2 to the fold despite the Angels and Trout likely being left out of the October championship hunt as the regular season draws to an end. The debut colorway known as “The Blueprint” is inspired by Trout’s perfect combination of agility and strength that makes him not only an incredible batter, but also one of the best fielders in the game. It’s almost as if Trout were the perfect blueprint for how a modern day baseball player should be built. The lightweight and flexible upper utilizes a unique cleat plate for engineered traction while the colorway features near-Sport Science like graphics of Trout’s physical prowess as well as some playful trout graphics on the medial side. The pair is slated to debut at select retailers on October 3rd. More photos below.
