First, the sneaker’s design itself draws inspiration from previous models in the Air Penny line—most obviously the Air Penny 1 with the use of a lateral support “wing”. The second celebration of Penny’s history is the colorway, which is inspired by young Penny’s days hooping at Memphis State. The Tigers color scheme features a royal blue suede upper with the Posite wings in white, while black and grey take care of the detailing. Of course, the colorway can also easily double as an “Orlando” look. Either way, it’s no doubt one of the best colorways of the latest Penny shoe yet. We still have no confirmed release date for the Air Penny 6 “Memphis”, but look for them to hit Nike Sportswear retailers any time now.
