If You Missed The fragment design Collab, These Nike Sock Darts Are For You

Nike Sock Dart Obsidian Navy Coming Soon 01

If you missed out on any of 2015’s Nike Sock Dart retros, there’s no need to worry. Spring 2016 brings a plethora of new colorways to the fold, some of which challenge even fragment design’s collaborative efforts for the title of best new colorway. Sure, some of these Sock Darts will miss out on the prestige and hype of being associated with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s aesthetic, but this Obsidian pair is fresh enough to stand alone. A near-identical pair released this past fall only with the added benefit of the dual lightning logo’s stamp of approval. The 2004 retro featured a woven upper that was a precursor to Flyknit, as the material molded to your foot for (you guess it) a sock-like fit. The translucent midfoot strap was also a head-turner as was the outsole, which featured Natural Motion-esque grooves that will make you think of Nike Free technology. What do you think of this upcoming Obsidian colorway? Check out a few more shots below and check for this pair to arrive in the new year.
