Nike Sportswear is celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the less-heralded visible air-wielding runners of the early 90s in the Nike Air Classic BW. The ‘Big Window’ classic didn’t benefit from an Air Max title even though it featured one of the largest implementations of the technology at the time, sandwiched between the two classics that were the Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Air Max 95. The 1991 silhouette has since returned in the form of the Nike Air Classic BW Ultra, a somewhat diet form of the original that now branches off featuring woven technology for a fully modernized aesthetic. Known as the Nike Air Classic Bw Ultra Jacquard, the Flyweave-like upper alternates between stripes of the traditional Persian Violet and a Bright Crimson for a head-turning look. 3M reflective detailing even strikes the heel just in case you want to take this pair out for a midnight run.
