Welcome to the summer of Kevin Durant. With the NBA Finals and NBA Draft all wrapped up, unrestricted free agent KD has a lot to consider before signing his next contract. But that won’t be the only reason to tune into the numerous Durant stories, as he reprises his role as Captain America as the leader of Team USA heading into the Rio Summer Olympics. Durant leads a roster full of some of the brightest young stars in the game with Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Draymond Green, and DeMar DeRozan slated to make their first Olympics appearance. Carmelo Anthony is returning for his fourth Olympics as well in an attempt to get a historic three gold medals for Team USA. With a number of notable absences from the roster, this summer is shaping up to be one of the more interesting USA Men’s basketball teams yet.
