Kristaps Porzingis Joins Adidas

Kristaps Porzingis aka KP6 aka Porzingod has officially signed with adidas Basketball. While ‘Taps is far from reaching his final form as a superstar in the league, he’s wildly popular among NBA fans after showcasing his versatile abilities, his long range from the perimeter, and his put-back dunk frenzy. Throughout his rookie season, the Latvian phenom had been lacing up the Kobe 10 Elite, but starting tonight, he’ll officially begin his partnership with adidas Basketball with some PE colorways of the Crazy Explosive basketball shoe. While this isn’t an earth-shattering move, Kristaps’ potential as a superstar in the league could be a major factor for adidas Basketball down the road. Check out Kristaps wear the Explosive tonight against the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

Update: According to Ian Begley of ESPN, Porzingis is being paid between $3 and $6 million annually, which is the largest shoe contract in history for a European basketball player.
