Shaq Returns To His Alma Mater LSU With The Reebok Shaq Attaq By Sneaker Politics

Shaq’s heading back to his alma mater this weekend with a special collaboration between New Orleans-based Sneaker Politics and the Reebok Shaq Attaq for the iconic sneaker’s 25th Anniversary celebration.

While Shaq’s portrayal of prep-baller Neon Bordeaux in the movie Blue Chips may have been a more memorable lasting image than his time with the LSU Tigers (plus who could forget his sneaker-inspired character name?) Politics manages to bring out the best in the legendary Reebok high-top through the use of Louisianna State’s signature Steel Purple and Yellow shades throughout. Shaq did always look best in purple and gold, and the Shaq Attaq benefits from a white leather base while purple overlays contrast the yellow tongue and heel.

The Sneaker Politics x Reebok Shaq Attaq “Alma Mater” will release on Friday, February 18th at the 216 Chartes Street, New Orleans location featuring an in-store appearance by Shaq and Dee Brown (who has a retro of his own dropping this weekend, too).
