Nike Sportswear continues to revamp a number of classic running models inspired by the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 97 even though we’ve only seen the “Silver Bullet” colorway release in celebration of the occasion. Among those is the shoe that directly followed in the AM97’s footsteps in the Nike Air Max Plus, released in 1998 to later be a cult-favorite in Europe. Today we get the best look yet at the premium style of the Nike Air Max Plus Metallic Gold slated to release on May 18th alongside the Nike Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold”. This is rumored to be a women’s exclusive offering, unfortunately, as we’re sure the luxurious touches of Metallic Gold mesh and patent leather mixed with University Red branding is enough to make anyone want this retro-inspired offering. Check out more detailed shots below and we’ll keep you updated in regards to the limited size run in the future right here on Sneaker News.
