Bodega Presents ASICS GEL-Mai Collaboration

Boston sneaker shop Bodega teams up with ASICS once again for a new collaboration this summer on the GEL-Mai. A lesser-utilized silhouette since it was first reintroduced into the retro runner market in late 2016, the unique sneaker design is transformed by Bodega into a rather cryptic colorway, inspired by death as a universal truth and the imagery of the grim reaper. The “Underground” colorway features a black and white striped textile base with orange and light grey accents and white detailing on the zig-zagging lace paneling to mimic the look of the bones of your foot. The translucent outsole also features a skeleton foot visible underneath.

The ASICS GEL-Mai “Underground” releases June 23rd at 11:00 AM EST exclusively at Bodega in-store and online for $170. Each pair also features custom packaging and extra lace options.
