Stone Island is one of those rare imprints that has the ability to collaborate with both Nike and adidas. After the outerwear specialists linked up with the Nike Sock Dart to introduce weather resistance and an extended mid-top upper, it looks like they’re switching brand affiliation for an upcoming Stone Island adidas NMD. According to prolific Instagrammer Wopsole, the early preview features a nubuck and leather combination with embossed trefoil branding on the tongue with Stone Island’s signature logo in an all-over print. The outsole arrives in classic gum while the midsole bumper hints at an adidas NMD R2 being the collaborative model of choice. Stay tuned for more updates as preview images continue to come in.
