Nike made the fictitious a reality with their impressive E.A.R.L. technology showcased in the self-lacing Nike HyperAdapt model. We’ve seen a number of colorways release featuring the rechargeable base unit and automatic tightening settings and now one more new look is coming into the fold with the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 “Red Lagoon”, available exclusively through Nike SNKRS ‘The Draw’ on Friday, August 25th for $720 USD.

Designers Tiffany Beers and Tinker Hatfield worked on this project and brought digital, electrical, and mechanical engineering to this footwear masterpiece powered by an underfoot lacing mechanism. This pair adds an aggressive University Red Swoosh and lining instead of the usual blue accents seen in the first handful of pairs, but don’t worry – that blue glow still shows up on the heel and midfoot section.

Check out more detailed images of the coming Nike HyperAdapt Black University Red colorway below and stay tuned for more updates on this self-lacing pair’s availability to come right here on Sneaker News.
