Slam Jam And Converse Collaborate On New Urban Utility Line And Chuck Taylor 70’s

Slam Jam Converse Chuck Taylor 1970s Urban Utility Release Info 1

Converse is pairing up with Italian streetwear label, Slam Jam, to bring a new series of structured staples implementing a utilitarian look that furthers the iconic brand’s foray into streetwear fashion relevancy. The collection includes both apparel and footwear, with the centerpieces of the capsule coming by way of the Chuck ’70 Hiker and the Converse Jump Boot with the former being infused with winterized Gore-Tex technology. Artist, Cali Thornnhill Dewitt, was the lead designer behind the project and aimed to create a line where functionality meets creativity to deliver a powerful message of freedom and expression. The apparel features the phrase “Your Silence Gets You Nothing” emblazoned on the different articles in various languages to embody Dewitt’s message.

The entire 17-piece collection will be available on December 5th at select retailers as well as Converse.com with footwear prices ranging from $150-$160 USD. To see the full collection and read up more on the project, check it out on Nike News.
