William Francis Green Adds Colored Cords To His Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration

As part of the brand’s 35th Anniversary celebration of the Air Force 1 last year, Nike connected with some of today’s most influential creatives to re-imagine the iconic sneaker from ’82 in unique forms. We’ve already seen the likes of Travi$ Scott, Virgil Abloh, Errolson Hugh, and several others give their spins on the silhouette, and today we get a detailed look at another official AF1 collaboration with one of the most sought-after young designers in the scene. William Francis Green infuses his ready-to-wear collection onto the all-white Air Force 1 by clamping down the colored cords from his apparel onto the uppers via stitched loops and the lace eyelets. Five total colorways were created for this project – each with its own haphazard arrangement of the roped detailing. This collaborative project with WFG will not release to the public, according to a spokesperson representing the designer.
