The Air Jordan 4 “Raptors” Was Originally Drake’s Release

Drake’s departure from Jordan Brand to adidas is, according to industry sources, a done deal as of last week. While an official announcement from adidas is set to arrive soon, it appears that the Toronto-based rapper left some crumbs behind in the form of an Air Jordan 4 Retro. The recently revealed Air Jordan 4 “Raptors”, according to py_rates, was intended to align with Drake’s allegiance to the Toronto Raptors as it was poised to feature Drake’s name labeled on the tongue of the shoes. In a similar vein, Travi$ Scott’s Air Jordan 4 in blue, black, and red is inspired by one of his favorite sports teams, the Houston Oilers. It appears that the Air Jordan 4 “Raptors” will eventually release sans Drake logos, so stay tuned for release info. In the meantime, here’s why we think Drake will fit in with adidas much better than he ever did with Jordan.

UPDATE June 2, 2019: A Finals version with Drake’s signature on the tongue is now available at Nikestore.
