First Look At The Puma Thunder Desert

First Look At The Puma Thunder Desert

Puma’s growing Thunder series continues to be one of the most surprising new additions to the sneaker industry this year, as the German Sportswear brand has created a formula that has resulted in a number of the year’s best “dad shoes”. After the successful and sell-out release of the Thunder Spectra, and the highly anticipated upcoming drop of the Thunder Electric, Puma is ready to add the Thunder Desert to the mix. All three sneakers boast nearly identical silhouettes, but their tooling and color blocking options are the main differentiator.

The original Spectra utilizes a classic mesh and leather combination with a primarily black color scheme surrounded by multiple colors, while the Electric got a bit more daring with its aesthetic makeup. Both ensuing women’s options utilize metallic formstripes, while the men’s pairs fall upon sneaker industry staples the likes of a gum bottom and speckled soles. Finally, the Desert is clearly the most subdued of the three, as it relies on much more neutral tones and a classy suede for a more sophisticated look, while its midfoot stripe sports and over-tumbled pattern that almost looks scaly.

Those looking to add another one of the year’s best chunky sneakers to their collection in the Puma Thunder Desert will have their choice between mint, black, white, and particle beige upon their arrival at retailers. At the moment, Puma has not revealed a release date, but enjoy a detailed set of images below and as always, stay tuned for updates.
