The BAPE x adidas NMD R1 was one of the most popular shoes of 2016, and remains a grail to many today, with resell prices still hovering around four figures. Now, it appears as if the two titans of industry may be joining forces again next year, as well-known leakers Py_Rates and Yeezy Mafia have indicated that a BAPE-styled Ultra Boost is set to release in 2019, potentially alongside a collaborative soccer cleat.
It’s not readily apparent what the collaborative shoe will look like, but if the two collaborative parties follow the successful formula they created in 2016 it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the sneaker will feature the same all-over iconic BAPE camo print as the NMDs. Enjoy two mock-ups of the rumored collaborative sneakers below, let us know what you think of the potential BAPE and adidas Originals collaboration, and check out our Sneaker Release Dates page for all the release info and updates you need.
Update: According to Yeezy Mafia, the BAPE x adidas Ultra Boost will release on February 2nd, 2019 as a Superbowl exclusive.
