The Upcoming Concepts x adidas Energy Boost “Shiatsu” Features Hidden Stains

Heading to a massage parlor is a great way to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It can be relaxing, rejuvenating, and if you head to a certain type of establishment … relieving. Now, Boston-based Concepts is nodding to these “special” experiences with their newest collaboration: a “Shiatsu” adidas Energy Boost.

The shoes nod to all the standard parts of a shiatsu massage, with a terry-cloth upper acknowledging luxurious bathrobes and green detailing on the midfoot cage, sockliner, and laces drawing from traditional jade stones. If purchased from a Concepts retail location, the shoes even arrive in a special box with a co-branded nail file and lotion. However—much like certain massage parlors—not everything is what it seems to be at first glance on these Energy Boosts. When put under a blacklight a hidden white marbled design appears on the shoe’s accentents, a cheeky nod to the special conclusion of an experience you can only receive at certain establishments. Proponent of happy endings? You’ll be able to get yours July 21st for $200 when the shoes release at Concepts and other adidas stockists.
