Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Ginger” Features Hidden Message

In early June, we brought you word that the Jordan Brand had plans to significantly increase its output of the famed Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG silhouette, as plans for eight new colorways for the end of 2018 and early 2019 surfaced. 2018 has already been a big year for the shoe that started it all, as we have seen the release of new colorways the likes of the Jordan 1 Bred Toe, and the four-piece “Best Hand In The Game” collection. Now, we are here to bring you a first look at another upcoming new iteration, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Ginger”. One of its keys design elements takes cues from the culture shifting Off-White Air Jordan 1, as it comes equipped with a detached outer layer of its customary ankle collar. While the three Off-White versions of the Jordan 1 feature an imprint of its iconic Wings logo on the underside that element, this particular version sports a hidden message that could very well be a quote or phrase from MJ himself.

Aesthetically, this new member of the Jordan 1 family ushers in a color blocking scheme similar to the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”, but unsurprisingly – due to its monicker – swaps out Chicago Bulls-Red with a fall-ready ginger hue. Grab a first look at the newest Jordan Brand offering below and stay tuned for updates regarding release information as well as details surrounding this sneaker’s hidden message.

Update: The hidden message on the Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Ginger” has been revealed.
