adidas Consortium And Bodega Team Up For A “Hidden In Plain Sight” Collection

Boston-based Bodega’s clever storefront design—with the entrance concealed behind a mock convenience store front—has become the stuff of legend. Offering a “hidden in plain sight”-style aesthetic, the brilliantly cheeky speakeasy-style entryway offers an experience unlike any other retailer. Now Bodega is bringing that same aesthetic onto their newest adidas collaboration, adding unique details and references onto the adidas Kamanda and the adidas Sobakov without subtracting from the striking silhouettes to create a soccer-inspired collaboration perfect for a World Cup year.

The Kamanda offers a dark grey textile upper with suede accents arriving on the three stripe detail and tan heel. A dark tan tongue and orange collar provide further contrast, and the shoe’s spiky midsole/outsole features a semi-translucent grey with a large Bodega branded hit arriving under the outsole. The Sobakov opts for a textured tan suede upper with a reflective wraparound three stripes graphic—partly inspired by the classic adidas Predator soccer cleat—while orange accents arrive on the laces, tongue, and collar. To complete the look, a small touch of dark brown is added to the heel, and the shoe’s outsole is dressed in a classic translucent gum. Feeling these football-inspired kicks?
