As the fusion of classic Air Max silhouettes with futuristic Vapormax soles continues, we’ve seen many a beloved OG colorway from the Swoosh Brand’s archives receive a revival. The new Vapormax 95 is a perfect example: it first dropped in “Neon,” then was unveiled in “Slate,” and has now materialized in the classic “Comet.” An original Air Max 95 colorway, the “Comet” features a gradient fade on the upper’s textured side panels, starting with black on the top before fading to a slate grey, a light grey, and finally a white on the lowest panel and toebox. Black mesh and red accents on the lace loops and Swoosh provide contrasting detail, and a two-tone Air Max badge on the tongue gives off a Scarface-esque vibe with its combo of red, white, and black. The heel is dressed in reflective material, and the shoe is completed with a blacked-out Vapormax unit and red/black outsole. Expect these new classics to release on Nike.com this fall with a retail price of $190 USD.
