Ben Felderstein Throughout the early life of the hybridized Vapormax 95 silhouette, the Swoosh has focused on introducing the world to original color schemes that once adorned the Air Max 95. First, we got the beloved “Neon” colorway on August 16th, and next month avid fans of Nike Sportswear’s Vapormax-infused creations will get their hands on an OG “Slate” variety. An array of varying shades of blue adorn this model’s midfoot racing stripes, with Obsidian starting at the top, quickly transitioning to lighter French Blue and Lake Blue as it approaches stark white right atop its boisterous Air bubbles. A quick hit of New Green is added to its lateral heel unit, embroidered onto its miniature Swoosh.
Pairs are currently available for slightly over retail at consignment shops the likes of Stadium Goods, but an official drop is expected to go down on September 6h. While you wait, be sure to check out another OG return by way of the Vapormax 95 “Comet” that should be hitting shelves sometime next month as well.
