The Nike EXP-X14 Features Wave Graphics

Nike’s EXP-X14 is a shoe that provides many an interesting contradiction. With its aggressively shaped midsole, translucent TPE upper, and low-profile design, it appears at first glance to be a running shoe — in the vein of models like the Zoom Pegasus Turbo. However, the EXP-X14 isn’t that: it’s actually a casual sneaker that draws inspiration from cutting-edge Nike models like the Zoom Vaporfly 4% while also nodding to the crossover between high-end performance and street ready sneakers.

The newest colorways of the EXP-X14 to surface have featured interesting gradient wave graphics, and this latest model continues that trend. A combination of black and a dark emerald appears on the toe before giving way to a clear sail on the midfoot. The upper is seemingly split in two with a black taped stripe separating the TPE forefoot from the mesh and suede collar, which is dressed in a combination of bright emerald neoprene and smoky grey suede. Flecked reflective hits also appear on the upper — similar to the woven pattern on the Air Max Plus — a small orange swoosh provides branding, and the aforementioned aggressively styled midsole arrives in a combination of white and black. Look for these new EXPs to release at Swoosh Brand stockists like SNS September 8th, and retail for $140 USD.
