After the OG Vapormax and Vapormax 2 both released to great fanfare over the past two years, the Vapormax 2019 is next up to represent the Swoosh Brand’s most futuristic Air Max technology — and it manages to both keep the line’s DNA intact and introduce some bold new changes, like a completely revamped upper. After first appearing in an Iron Man-esque combination of gold and red, the Vapormax 2019 now serving as a modern-day take on one of the most beloved Air Max ever: the “Silver Bullet” Air Max 97s. A crisp white serves as the base, while bold metallic silver accents appear on the upper’s seams. The midfoot underlay and heel tabs are dressed in a hot crimson for a pop of bright contrast, and black branding appears on both the midfoot Swooshes and tongue’s technical specs. The shoe is then completed by a shimmering silver Vapormax cushioning unit that provides an exemplary blend of style and comfort.
