Kyrie Irving Debuts Alternate Version Of The Concepts “Ikhet”

Kyrie Irving Debuts Alternate Version Of The Concepts “Ikhet”

You can always count on Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving to step onto the court with something crazy on his feet. This season alone, Irving has graced the hardwood in many a special Kyrie 5 — from a tennis-inspired “Hot Lava” pair to a woodland camo model designed in collaboration with Tyler, The Creator’s DJ Taco. Irving’s apparently got no plans of slowing down any time soon either, as he rocked a special never-before-seen collaboration of his “Ikhet” collab with Concepts during last night’s 135-108 drubbing of the Indiana Pacers. All the special detailing that made the original “Ikhet” so interesting — from the Egyptian symbols on the heel to the special branding on the tongue and the textured swoosh — return, but the colorway is entirely different, discarding the standard “Ikhet” tan base in favor of a more celestial color palette. A black mesh upper serves as the base for crisp mint, regal gold, stately grey, and hot pink accents, all rounded off by a translucent outsole. As of now there’s no plans for an official release, but get a first look at the new kicks below and let us know your thoughts on the alternate colors in the comments.
