Ross Dwyer Damian Lillard is a multi-faceted individual. Sure, he’s best known for ruthlessly dominating his competition on NBA courts and his All-NBA First Team selection last season, but there’s a lot of other layers to the Portland Trail Blazers point guard that adidas is looking to explore through the new Dame 5. Set to begin rolling out on February 1st with releases continuing into the first week of April, the Dame 5’s features a wide swath of inspirations from the “People’s Champ” — that nods to his passion for boxing — to the roller-skate inspired “All Skate” and the “Suga Gee,” which uses Dame’s mother’s favorite color. The Dame 5 is no slouch on the performance end either, featuring full-length Bounce foam for a responsive ride and a lateral banking barrier/padded collar for exemplary support.
Three different colorways — the “People’s Champ,” “All Skate,” “YKWTII,” and will release on February 1st, while the “Suga Gee” will drop on March 1st, the “DameGoose” hits retailers April 5th, and the “La Heem, The Dream” arrives May 3rd on adidas.com, each with an MSRP of $115 USD.
