Ross Dwyer Jordan Brand’s innovation-first ethos has resulted in several interesting designs being brought to both the performance and casual markets as of late — and the team over at JB’s newest permutation is the Jordan Proto Max 720, a cutting-edge lifestyle design that’s appeared in a classic red and black palette. Using a space-ready combo of synthetics, straps, and exposed stitching on the upper similar to other new Jordan models like the Proto React and Apex Utility, the Proto Max 720’s main difference from those aforementioned silhouettes appears on its bottom half. A large Air Max 720-style cushioning unit — in place of the React foam used on the other aforementioned models — offers a modern-day mix of style and comfort. Special flight-ready Jordan branding then appears on the heel straps and tongue, while the outsole locks in the lunar stylings with a wavy, moon-boot style tread pattern.
