adidas SPEZIAL Honors London Heritage With Its SS19 Return

The adidas SPEZIAL line-up undoubtedly holds a special place in the heart of the Three Stripes, so with the advent of its return in SS19, the label is holding nothing back as it travels to London, exploring its rich heritage through the lens of collector Robert “Brooksy” Brooks’ personal archive. Inspired almost wholly by vintage, each forthcoming pair is a mash-up of bright, vibrant tones next to silhouettes that are timeless in both their design and construction. The SL80, Whalley, Norfu, AS520 and ZX530 all take part in this expansive capsule of both apparel and footwear, all of which simultaneously aim to highlight staples throughout history as well as capture the essence of Brooks’ few favorites. With each shoe bringing its own influence to the table and outerwear harking to militaristic and utilitarian themes, it’s clear that SPEZIAL’s revival is holding nothing back. If you’re interested in any of the aforementioned pieces, expect this first installment to launch on March 8th on adidas.com and select retailers with the second drop slated for some time in the coming months.
