First Look At The Nike Air Max 720 “Pale Vanilla”

As the newest entrant into Nike’s storied Air Max lineage, the Air Max 720 holds an important place among the Swoosh Brand’s lifestyle release slate. Apart from its mammoth cushioning unit, it’s also known for a futuristically-styled upper — but this new “Pale Vanilla” colorway bucks that normal design ethos, instead opting to infuse the modern-day Max with a healthy dose of homage to releases past. Arriving in a clean white with soft tan and light grey accents, the shoe’s upper calls upon a traditional mesh in place of the standard synthetics, while accents are provided by the abstract overlays. The tongue/throat details then add further to the classic look, with flecked laces, shaggy suede trim, exposed foam edges, and a stitched-on tag that replaces the standard badge embellishment. A semi-translucent plastic midsole and the aforementioned appealing Air Max unit then completes the look.
