adidas’ new wave of tech has sprung into action as it crosses over to both mainline releases and now the coveted Y-3 line-up, upgrading its classic runner aesthetics with the in-house printed sole units. Dubbed the Runner 4D II, the newest is quite futuristic in its get up — as is fitting of the direction taken by the collaborator, Yohji Yamamoto. Though slightly yellowed for a bit of vintage looks, the pair arrives in mostly lighter shades as white fills the Primeknit constructions of the upper just as the complimenting laces intersect across from the vamp to the midfoot foxing and then around the the heel counter. Ankle weaves swap in and out between black and the aforementioned for a bit of nautical execution while the Three Stripes that drip down from the tongue dose in that necessary branding alongside the Japanese designer’s elegant signature. Peer into the future at the newest model below and find them rolling out to select retailers as well as adidas.com on May 1st for a price point of 600 USD.
