Neymar’s Nike Shox R4 Collaboration Releases On May 30th

When the Nike Shox R4 first appeared in front of eyes, the response was unlike Nike had seen in quite a while. Bold, futuristic, and even ugly were some of the words used to the describe the first running shoe bearing the Shox cushion technology, and there’s a reason why nearly two decades later, it’s remembered with such esteem. In some pockets of the world the R4 was the “it” shoe, and in Sao Paolo it brings back memories of Neymar’s childhood. As one of Nike’s top athletes, he’s gotten the opportunity to co-create with the brand, with two iterations set to drop on May 30th. The first is a nod to the OG silver colorway, with miniature Swoosh logos lining the overlay, while a second version featured a gradient colorway inspired by the fresh fruits of the street markets. As a personal touch, Nike turned the Shox logo sideways to spell out the letter N in honor of the football superstar. See the official photos ahead and stay tuned for a launch on May 30th.
