New Balance Applies A Plethora Of Earthy Patterns On The 998

New Balance has been turning up the heat this summer with a cornucopia of compelling collaborations and colorways, and now their hot streak is set to continue with a bold new made-in-the-USA New Balance 998. Constructed of buttery suedes and formidable fabrics, these 998s boast a powerful patchwork plethora of prints and patterns, with each piece of the layered upper taking on a different hue. These styles range from a simple brown on the heel to a soft greenish grey on the mudguard, then veer from a pink/blue floral print on the tongue to an abstract pattern on the collar and more. Although the top half is unquestionably wild in its stylings, the ABZORB midsole and rubber outsole opt to keep things simple, using grey, soft tan, and black to ensure that all attention is focused on the upper’s ultra-unique look. Of course, all this high-end quality and careful construction comes with a premium price point of $220 USD, but that surely won’t deter fans of the 998 who know you get what you pay for. An official release date has not yet been announced, but you can check out images and a store list right here while you wait for their arrival.
