There’s no person more deserving than Eric Koston to help bridge the gaps between skateboarding and sneakerheadism. The man’s a legend in both categories, so when he was tapped to direct the first-ever Air Jordan 1 Low SB, he drew a connection to one of the more obscure Air Jordan 1s that the newer generation may not be familiar with – the Japan-exclusive “Midnight Navy” pair from 2001. For his next (or upcoming) pair, Koston hand-picked the original “UNC” colorway of the Air Jordan 1, and today we’re blessed with a first look at the upcoming release – although it’s difficult to tell if the miniature Jumpman logo at the toe will make a return. Check Koston in action below and stay tuned for release updates as we near the tentative 8/2 drop.
