Only NY Brings Their Signature Look To The PRO-Keds Royal Lo Plus

Only NY Brings Their Signature Look To The PRO-Keds Royal Lo Plus

After recently opening their second store in Brooklyn, New York-based brand Only NY is back in the street culture headlines once again, this time due to a new collaboration with PRO-Keds on the Royal Lo Plus. Known for their clean designs, bold fonts, and NYC-centric graphics, Only NY has dressed the classic hoops shoe in three clean color palettes — “Old Gold,” “Hunter Green,” and “Egret” — while also equipping it with a premium Wolverine suede upper. Sporty red and blue stripes grace each shoe’s midsole, while co-branded details are provided by logos on both the heels and insoles. They’re also accompanied by a logo T-shirt that’s inspired by vintage ads. This release marks the brand’s fourth collaboration with PRO-Keds: they cooked up a Royal Lo in 2016 and Royal His in 2017/2018. Although the aforementioned silhouettes were early basketball shoes, the Royal Lo Plus was an upgraded version, worn on-court by hoops luminaries like Tiny Archibald and the legendary “Pistol” Pete Maravich. By mixing their refined streetwear aesthetic with PRO-Keds’ storied basketball heritage, Only has managed to create a shoe that spans generations, and looks great doing it. Want to add a pair to your collection? All three pairs are available now both on the Only NY webstore and their Manhattan/Brooklyn retail locations for $95 USD.
