A running shoe that debuted in the mid ’00s and was notorious for both its unique look and handsome price point, the original ASICS GEL-Kinsei has since spawned many a sequel, but now the original pair is set to come back in all its silver, black, and blue glory for the first time ever. The highly technical upper is constructed of layered silver mesh and synthetic panels for breathability and support, while black trim and accents plus a blue sockliner/tongue badge handle contrast. Down below, the Kinsei’s signature detail is provided by a six-prong GEL cushioning system on the heel, secured by a translucent plastic shank. The forefoot is packed full of even more comfy blue gel, and the black outsole completes the look with pops of red and blue.
