LeBron James‘s new Nike LeBron 17 is right around the corner, and ahead of their October arrival, we now have a look at the grade school-sized pair, a shoe that presents a few noticeable differences from its adult counterpart. Although the black/white knit upper, backwards heel Swoosh, and special branding on the tongue appear unchanged from the stylings we’ve already seen, the midsole discards the full-foot cushioning system that’s present on the men’s pairs in favor of an isolated Air Max unit in the heel and Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. This is a common measure for the LeBron line — a similar ethos was applied on the grade school makeups of the Nike LeBron 16 — so it’s far from surprising to see it here on the King’s newest Nike shoes. These GS LeBrons unexpectedly popped up at a Foot Locker in China, so we can likely expect them to release on October 3rd alongside their fully grown counterparts. Get a first look here, and stay tuned for more info as it’s available.
