The Deconstructed Nike Air Max Plus Appears In “Vintage Box” Colors

From original gradient colorways to removable Swooshes, the Nike Air Max Plus has been drawn up with some compelling makeovers during its existence. The popular late-90s runner has emerged once again in the “Decon” make-up that was introduced earlier this year, forgoing the classic upper with a thinner construction to achieve that endoskeleton aesthetic. While the earlier drops took advantage of softer monochromatic hues, this upcoming release opts for a bright orange upper with a solid grey sole, mimicking the famed “Vintage Box” theme inspired by classic Nike shoeboxes from decades ago. While that motif was used on an official level with 2010’s Nike Trainer 1 and more recently a #LeBronWatch installment with the LeBron 15, this Air Max Plus Decon is just a few hits of white short of getting that true distinction. See the photos ahead for a closer look.
