Nike To Hit Select Cities With An Updated Blue Ribbon Sports Volkswagen Bus

Nike To Hit Select Cities With An Updated Blue Ribbon Sports Volkswagen Bus

After re-opening their Blue Ribbon Sports store in Santa Monica earlier this year, Nike is looking to take their running specialty initiative on the road this month. Making stops in three major cities across the nation including Santa Monica, Chicago, and New York City, the pop-up experience will arrive in the form of the Volkswagon ID. BUZZ Cargo, a modernized electric version of the bus that Jeff Johnson – the Swoosh’s first official employee – drove around in to deliver product through LA in the 1960s. Exclusive product such as these limited edition Nike Cortez and Pegasus Turbo 2 will be available for purchase at each experience, in addition to the opportunity to learn more about the brand’s humble beginnings and the chance to donate used footwear to Reuse-A-Shoe. The Blue Ribbon Sports: Coast to Coast pop-up kicks off this weekend in Santa Monica on October 5th, followed by Chicago on October 12th, and New York City on October 15th. Mark your calendars to see if Nike is stopping by a city near you, and take a closer look at the shoes here below.
