New Balance has definitely been gravitating towards earthy tones recently, as some of their recent lifestyle offerings such as the 574, 991, and CMT580 have all featured some form of brown and beige makeovers. And the latest to join in on the fun is this brand new rendition of the classic 998, set to arrive in a monochromatic tan colorway. A silhouette that falls under the Boston-based brand’s “Made in USA” series, these tan iterations are engineered with a suede base, and contrasted with layers of mesh and leather dispersed throughout its entire tonal upper – a rare makeover for the 998 considering its previous colorways have taken on multi-toned/more vibrant palettes. Grab a detailed look at the pair here below, and note that they are now available on NewBalance.com and at select retailers for $180 USD.
