Sneaker News What ends up being a near perfect summation of the athlete’s obsession with Egyptian history and culture, Concepts‘ latest collaboration atop the Nike Kyrie 5 continues what has been a long-running series for the silhouette, going beyond with cool tones and constellations in a colorway dubbed fittingly as “Orion’s Belt.” Arguably more vibrant than past iterations, the pair explores a deep-seated fascination with the Pyramids of Giza and how the titular celestial formation aligned perfectly with all three. Playing off its rumors of having been submerged, it is almost entirely doused in an ocean blue with subtle gradients lining the profile edges and leading up to a more sun-covered light blue at the top line. Gold-finish shields borrow the look and feel of one such wonder of the world, lying against a backdrop of stars emblazoned along a midnight navy tongue. Swooshes bear the same dark tone just as the foxing details, with treads and supports caps contrasting in lighter shade. For a closer look at all the details, be sure to peer over at the images below, and expect to find them launching at Concepts NYC and online come October 26th complete with their signature speciality packaging.
