Overkill’s adidas ZX8000 “No Walls Needed” Double-Pack Includes €100 EUR Kickback

Overkill’s adidas ZX8000 “No Walls Needed” Double-Pack Includes €100 EUR Kickback

The ever-clever Overkill crew in Germany has cooked up yet another creative back-story for an upcoming collaboration with adidas Originals. They’ve highlighted one of the most revolutionary moments in their home country’s history – the fall of the Berlin Wall – with an epic two-pair double-pack that features the local favorite in two distinct colorways with split-blocked midsoles – a metaphorical representation of the divided city. Remembering the 30th Anniversary of the unifying event, Overkill will drop just 1,989 units of this set, with an added €100 EUR kickback to those who purchase in-store. The purpose of this rebate of sorts is a nod to the “welcome money” that was offered by the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) to visitors from the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). Each of the four shoes houses its own unique symbol that pay homage to the crucial themes of equality, individuality, freedom, and unity. This history lesson, which masquerades as a creative shoe collaboration, will drop this Saturday, November 2nd exclusively at Overkill in-store.
