The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage Gets Purple Swooshes

The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage Gets Purple Swooshes

After being featured in Virgil Abloh‘s “The Ten” collection from 2017, the Nike Blazer has enjoyed a new lease on life, which has included a blockbuster year backed by sacai. And while big-name collaborations for the ’70s silhouette have slowed down, the Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage has cemented itself as a mainstay within Nike’s expansive footwear roster through simple white outfits accented with black, blue, green, yellow, and now purple profile swooshes. Constructed with smooth leather, uppers on this mid-cut silhouette are left plain just like they were when they debuted on basketball courts decades ago; grey suede overlays at the toe and around the forefoot add reinforcement. “NIKE” branding at the heel sports the same “Voltage Purple” as its side-view counterparts, but the story changes up on the tongue – made of exposed foam – as the black/orange logo arrangement evokes an old-school look.

Take a closer look at this upcoming Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage here below while you wait for its arrival on Nike.com and select retailers in the coming weeks.
