Nike’s command over ACG styling has never been put to the test as aggressively as it has in 2020, continuing where the last year left off after separating from collaborator Errolson Hugh. Both new and revived silhouettes have steered the helm for the better, outfitting with a varied range of weather resistent and trail-hardened materials that do well to mimic the palettes the line-up has since become signature for. Alongside, the brand has also introduced their series of homages: a small microcosm of external silhouettes who bring not only the mountaineering colors but also small embellishments to their very construction. The Air Force 1, fittingly, comprises a strong majority of this collection as its third entry plays off the cream bases of one of its debuting few. These neutral shades seat much of the upper in either suede or ripstop synthetic, leaving the Swoosh and adjacent branding to infuse color with a mix of cool tones: “Blue Fury” dyes the check, dark purples hit the heel tab, and darkened teals thread the warped “Nike Air” embroidery. Grab a detailed look at these here and find them available now at select shops and nike.com.
