Where To Buy The Air Jordan 2 “Rivals”

One part clean colorways and the other strong storytelling, Jordan Brand’s many offerings have evolved by leaps and bounds in the past few years, retelling the origins of the Air Jordan 1 with 2020’s newly crafted 1985 shape after laying the foundation with a wealth of schemes inspired by MJ’s media appearances, commercials, and much, much more. Now, coinciding with the comeback of the Air Jordan 2, the Jumpman is dressing up the silhouette ambitiously for women, using the signature tones of the legendary athlete’s many noteworthy rivals. Be it the NY Knicks, the Lakers, or even the Celtics, almost every one finds representation in this Mondrian-esque design — color blocking of utmost focus as every panel opts for a hue unique relative to the other foot. Toe caps of strong patent are either a saturated by green or red, leading upwards to warm pebbled leathers and beyond to a suede of sultry purples or blues. Above, at the ankle, padding takes the form of quilted fabrics, crossing with stitch against a backdrop that lies in complement to the forefoot’s coloring. Elsewhere, neutral toolings and heel supports ground much of the kit, placing atop bold-faced “NIKE” logos at the heel and a subtly patched set of “23” just along the inside tongue. Grab an official look at the pair here and expect a release to hit select shops and Nike.com come March 5th.
