New Balance may be more well-known for their use of grey, but when it comes to certain releases, their handle over color is surprisingly efficient. They proved this time and time again with collaborations — Joe Freshgoods, Stray Rats, No Vacancy Inn, etc. — and they’re now set to do the same under the 992’s debut round of colorways. Hued in many a standout tone, the offering relies on the eclectic rather than neutral, only dyeing the tooling a understated white. On top, its TPU supports towards the heel brandish with bright red, its tread a sultry purple, and everything above a much stronger mix of saturated palettes. Orange makes way at the entire mudguard below its blue complement — the latter acting as a backdrop to yellow “N” logos and eye stay panels of a strong forest green.
