While the Nike Air Max 95 pales in sheer numbers when compared to the Air Max 90‘s anniversary roster, it boasts a healthy dozen of quality releases. Collaborations with COMME des GARÇONS and size? may be at the forefront of the 95’s 25th birthday, but Nike’s solo efforts have been equally impressive.
Now joining the South Korea-exclusive “Pollen Rise” take is an Air Max 95 covered in tiger print. Akin to the Olivia Kim Air Footscape from late 2019, neutral bases are interrupted with “Black” stripes from heel to forefoot. Upping the animated ante, the Air Max model fills in half of the “White” colored gaps throughout its profile overlays with vibrant “Royal Tint” and “Racer Pink” hues. “Black” mesh around the throat doesn’t partake in the multi-colored flair, but their adjacent lace and tongue embellishments do. Lateral heel Swooshes are arranged similarly to branding on the insoles of a women’s Air Max 270 React from last season. Coincidentally, both pairs nod to South Korea via their sock liners, with the Air Max 95’s shoutout coming in the form of “KOREA” text accompanied by the tiger graphic found across the country’s Nike football kits. Down below, midsoles and their Airbags keep things monochromatic, but cutouts underfoot make one last eye-catching statement.
Details of an official Nike.com release are still unknown, but pairs of this Air Max 95 are available right now at a handful of affiliate European retailers.
Away from the visible Air-cushioning, NIKE, Inc.’s Jordan Delta SP, which uses React foam like the Travis Scott Air Max 270, recently emerged in two new colorways.
