The Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade” From The Famed Powerwall Collection Returns This Summer

The Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade” From The Famed Powerwall Collection Returns This Summer

The mid-2000s was one of those milestone eras for Nike’s Air Max as the brand unveiled the Air Max 360 in 2006, the first Air unit that utilized a true toe-to-heel Air unit. The brand made several efforts to re-tell the evolution of Air – from the small visible unit on the Air Max 1 to the gigantic 360 – with the famed “Powerwall” collection (pictured below), a series of 56 different shoes presented in eight different themes. Among the concepts was the “History Of Air”, which saw the re-release of several iconic Air Max models in their OG colorways (top row), the “Blue Ribbon Sports” aka “BRS” (middle), the Japanese toy-inspired “Tier 0” (bottom), and others that featured illustrations, laser graphics, and much more on. Some of the collection were more available than others, but others are extremely limited with less than 200 pairs in existence. Still, despite the limited nature, some of the Powerwall series sat on shelves and eventually hit outlets.

According to sneaker info leaker @py_rates_, the “Lemonade” colorway of the Air Max 1 (the fifth row) is set for a return this Summer – an enticing bit of news as it suggests that other units from this oft-forgetten yet highly-revered collection will be returning as well. While it is unlikely that Nike would retro the entire set, but there are some choice pickings from this group.

In other Air Max news, the Travis Scott Air Max 270 React EN release has now been postponed to May.
